BRINGING BENTLEY'S VISION OF A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE TO LIFE

EVENT PRODUCTION
AUGMENTED REALITY

As lead sponsor of the Southampton Boatshow, Bentley took the opportunity to showcase their future vision, ‘Beyond 100’ a future where the highest levels of luxury mobility are achieved through sustainable practices.

Beyond 100 sees Bentley build on the carbon-neutral status of their factory in Crewe, to become climate neutral, end-to-end, from 2030 – with a view to ultimately transitioning to become climate positive. This was truly exciting for the SomeBrightSpark team as it’s a vision we share. For us, the less impact (on the environment) the better.

To showcase this vision, we developed a customer journey through a blended digital and physical environment. Inviting guests to an immersive augmented reality experience that presented the brand's vision as they transition their entire vehicle programme to a carbon neutral future.

Using the latest in web-AR technology we built an interactive showcase of this vision – a rich story of sustainable luxury brought to life in augmented reality.

By inputting a unique session code, visitors could either use tablets provided or sync their personal devices together with the on-screen video player. Titled ‘See Beyond the Possible’, as the narrative played out, visitors would use their devices as an augmented lens–with 3D elements enhancing the environment surrounding them, underscoring the key sustainability messages.

In addition to the opportunity to interact with the brand strategy on the stand, See Beyond the Possible was made available for at-home viewing, helping spread Bentley’s message far beyond the borders of the stand itself, and bringing Beyond 100 to a wider audience.

And, the sustainability credentials of the project didn’t go unnoticed. The Bentley stand and digital activation were awarded the top prize for sustainability by the Southampton Boatshow judging panel.
